Oh yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Jerry is at the movies.
This time, we’re talking The Strangers: Chapter 3 — and whoa. Let’s get straight to the gist of it.
At its core, this movie is about a group of psycho killers chasing people down and killing them for seemingly no reason. But like most things, there is a reason — and it lives beneath the surface. There are strong subliminal messages here, especially around mental health. A lot of folks might think this kind of story is far-fetched, but the truth is, things like this happen in the real world. These movies may feel fictional, but they’re rooted in very real darkness.
You’d think, it’s just a movie.
You’d think, this could never be reality.
But there are people out there who really do move like this.
🧠 The Real Meaning of The Strangers
Here’s where it really clicked for me — and I knew it all along.
The town itself is a setup.
Everybody knows what’s going on. From the moment outsiders arrive, the energy shifts. That’s why it’s called The Strangers. The killers aren’t the strangers — the victims are.
Think about the diner.
If you’ve seen Chapters 1 and 2, you already know the vibe.
People roll into town, hungry, just looking to grab a quick bite before getting back on the road. The second they walk in, the room goes silent. Every eye is on them. That’s when you know something’s off.
The sheriffs and deputies get nervous whenever a new couple or family comes into town — because they already know those people are targets.
🩸 Help That Isn’t Really Help
Throughout the movie — just like in the earlier chapters — there are always “helpful” people who randomly appear.
Someone offers to fix a tire.
Next thing you know, you pass out.
Then you wake up in their house.
At that point, you already know:
They’ve got something to do with it.
And my theory?
I was right.
From the beginning, these people were being set up for the kill.
👤 The Survivor
There’s one girl — the only survivor of the killings — and they were after her wholeheartedly.
She manages to duck and dodge, but she’s constantly waking up in different places. They grab her, but they don’t kill her right away. Instead, they believe they can recruit her.
That’s the real moral of the story.
They wanted to turn her into one of them.
As the movie goes on, she slips into a kind of mental breakdown — a place where she stops caring. They try to use that, hoping to create the illusion of expanding their group. But in the end, she does what she has to do and gets out.
🎥 Final Thoughts
The ending?
Great. Truly great.
Honestly, I hope there’s not a Chapter 4 — it doesn’t need one. Chapter 3 stands strong on its own.
I don’t usually like remakes, but this one was done right. I give it a solid, respectable rating, and I definitely recommend it — especially if you’re into:
Horror
Thrillers
The Strangers franchise
If you’re a fan, go see it.
That’s all the time we have for today on this movie review.
