Texas rapper Droopy M has been turning heads with his bold style, grind, and life story. From growing up surrounded by music to navigating challenges that would have stopped most people in their tracks, Droopy M opens up about his journey, creative process, dream collaborations, and what’s next for his career. We sat down with him for an exclusive interview you don’t want to miss.

10OutOf10Promos: What first got you into music?

Droopy M: I’ve always been intrigued with music ever since I could remember. I got musicians in my family… I was just naturally drawn to it as a child.

10OutOf10Promos: Who inspired you to make music?

Droopy M: I would have to say the very first person that got me into making music was my uncle Jason. He would sit on his bed and write out the lyrics to songs from the CDs he would listen to… that’s pretty much how I learned song structure.

10OutOf10Promos: How would you describe the music that you typically create?

Droopy M: Mine 🤣😂

10OutOf10Promos: What is your creative process like?

Droopy M: It really depends. It’s different with different people… by myself though, I go into my own little world.

10OutOf10Promos: Who would you most like to collaborate with?

Droopy M: At this moment in time I would have to say J. Cole.

10OutOf10Promos: If you could go open a show for any artist, who would it be?

Droopy M: Drake.

10OutOf10Promos: What is one message you would give to your fans?

Droopy M: Live Life… Do Things…

10OutOf10Promos: What is the most useless talent you have?

Droopy M: Damn 🤔 never really thought about it.

Droopy M: Yes I do sing in the shower 🤣😂. Shower song of choice: Somebody's Watching Me by Rockwell.

10OutOf10Promos: What would you be doing right now, if it wasn’t for your music career?

Droopy M: Cutting hair.

10OutOf10Promos: Where have you performed? What are your favourite and least favourite venues? Do you have any upcoming shows?

Droopy M: I performed all over Texas… as far as having a favorite venue I’d have to say Brewster Street Ice House—there’s no better feeling than that home court advantage 😁

10OutOf10Promos: How do you feel the Internet has impacted the music business?

Droopy M: The internet is dope if you know how to use it right… a lot of scams, but you could find what you’re looking for if you know where to look.

10OutOf10Promos: What is your favourite song to perform?

Droopy M: Hot Minute.

10OutOf10Promos: Which famous musicians do you admire?

Droopy M: I don’t know really. In all honesty, I like different artists for different reasons.

10OutOf10Promos: What is the most trouble you’ve ever gotten into?

Droopy M: 5 felonies… did 10 years in prison.

Droopy M: Live life day by day.

Droopy M: Nothing… nothing at all.
